The Divine Line Tattoo Apprenticeship Program offers a comprehensive and personalized journey into the world of tattooing. You will have your abilities pushed to the limit, be guided under a mentorship, and learn what it means to be a tattoo artist.
At this time, we are not accepting apprentices with prior tattoo experience; regardless of the level of prior education.
You don’t need to be the best, but you do need the desire to want to be the best. You might not get a concept on the first attempt, you might not even get it on the 100th attempt, but you are a person who never gives up. You are ready to work hard, explore new ideas, and create the beauty you want to see in the world. You might be someone who has had a passion for art your whole life or someone who recently discovered a new passion for art. Not only are you are looking for tattooing to be your career, but an industry to devote your life’s work to, and find out what you are capable of creating.
At the start of a tattoo apprenticeship, the apprentice interns for no pay, in exchange for their education. Divine Line Tattoo provides the necessary supplies to the apprentice as well as use of a clean safe environment to work in at a licensed tattoo studio. As the tattoo apprentice progresses, they will receive reviews by their tattoo artist mentor. The mentor will be evaluating their performance of apprentice tasks.
Divine Line Tattoos will be your designated environment to learn the ubiquitous requirements of tattooing. You will learn linework, shading, and various techniques that will help you turn designs into tattoos. You will learn the importance of customer service and how it can completely change a clients entire experience. You will learn how to go from consultations, to designs, to tattooing your first client. Most importantly, you will have an intimate learning environment. You won’t be competing for time to learn with 30 other apprentices. We take a select amount of apprentices to ensure that we can give you the education that you deserve.
Apprentices are expected to be in the studio Tuesday thru Saturday, 11:30 am to 8 pm.
Apprentices must have a willingness to learn, take criticism, and a desire to grow. They must have respect for others, radical transparency, a competitive art base, and a strong work ethic. Apprentices need to provide an artwork portfolio (no tattoos) and must have a basic understanding of digital art.
